Step 10
Do the same with the rear wheel:
The windows
Step 11
To select the windows we are going to use the QuickMask method. Very simple. Hit ‘B’ to select the brush tool. Right click to bring up the brush properties. Move the ‘Hardness’ all the way to the right, then press ‘Q’. This activates the QuickMask. Now when we paint, we aren’t painting color, but a selection. You will see everything is red. Don’t panic! It’s supposed to be. Carefully ‘paint’ all the windows. If you go wrong and mask something you shouldn’t, there is a very easy solution. Hit ‘X’ on the keyboard to swap foreground and background colors. Now you will be erasing the quick mask.
Step 12
There’s one more thing we have to do.When we create a mask, we effectively block off everything we paint. So what we need to do is invert the selection. Press ‘Q’ to exit QuickMask mode, then SHIFT+CRTL+I to invert. Finally, CRTL+J to paste onto another layer. Rename this layer ‘Windows’, CRTL+click to select it, and paint black like the tyres. Now, lower the fill to something like 75% and change the blend mode to ‘Hard light’.
The Body
Step 13
Now the hard part. OMG, that body is going to be difficult! First off, I have to get rid of that luggage rack. Those things are just not cool. The best way to do this is to use the clone tool. Press ‘S’ on the keyboard to activate it. Basically, what we do is hold ALT and click the piece of image we want to clone (in this case it will mostly be the bushes in the background). Then we paint over the luggage rack and it will be covered by our cloned area. That is the basic premise. But here are some suggestions: Only clone a little piece at a time. Always clone close to the source. Here we have cloned a piece of the front:
Step 14
The longer it takes to clone everything out, the better. Don’t rush this bit!
