Talk about conceited...... So what if it's below your expectations at least he knows how to share. I think it's pretty nice. So what if it's for beginners...

Hey Admin,

I think your site is great, never mind all the critics out there. 1st all, let me build a site themselves, I have and I program games all over the place for people in exchange for images and graphics. I wnated to learn PS myself, and this is a great place to start at. And I have been reading and visiting sites for 3 months now. I like the basics to advance style you have. Plus it also allows us to see the big picture for later images and graphics.

Yeah, mine didn't keep the color either. Also, what's the deal with the cloud layer? Didn't see the point in it.

I've looked and looked but I can't seem to find the purpose for the Clouds layer. It seems to disappear from the layer stack towards the end of the tutorial. Should I have adjusted it's blend mode or merged it with another layer? Other than that, the effect is nice.

Hi awesome tutorial soo far buttttt when I merge the color burn layer with the first blur(filter) layer it didn't keep the color from the color burn, it just turned it back to that same color at the blur layer. What did I do wrong?

1: I've been using PS for years now and have never thought to do something like this for a background.
2: A lot of us follow "basic" tutorials so we can teach ourselves other stuff as we go along.
3: Just like with the rest of the internet, if you don't like something, navigate away. No one is forcing you to read anything.

Thanks for the tutorial!

john, I create different pages for 2 things:

1. It's easier to follow the tutorial that's split to pages with 5 steps each
2. It's easier to load for people with slower connections.

Seriously, you guys are thinking that the web is being made especially for you ? :) Some users still using dialup connections, some using GPRS, which isn't too fast yet, etc.

As for the ad $$$, I get paid for clicks, not the impressions, if you ask me.

Cheers everyone!

J.Joker, you see the guy "ghawyy" here ? That answers your concern.

This tutorial is indeed in the basics category and yes, I do agree it's not the best tutorial you can find in the internet. But still it's useful to someone.

This is the first tutorial for this website and I usually start with worse and going to better tutorials. Check out the 3rd tutorial about the Flower ad, it's definately better. And many more and better to come.

There're so many shades of gray out there, man :)

It's great that you submit tutorials for others to learn from, but it stinks that you use multiple web pages so you can get more page clicks. It's all about the ad $$$.
